I primarily use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) as my Therapeutic Style. EMDR is highly valued as a leading therapy in the reprocessing of Trauma in one’s life. Known for its ability to target negative cognitions and restructure them into positive beliefs made whole again. It is effective and well liked by clients.
Additionally I utilize the concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on our belief systems and how they influence choices and perceptions. CBT works well in conjunction with EMDR.
Basic communication is also an important element for healing dysfunctional relations. Learning to communicate in a way that states your own basic needs and desires, while respecting and acknowledging the needs and desires of those close to us is a valuable way to build strength and happiness with those who are important in our lives.
Because of my background in Whole Being Wellness, I also incorporate the interconnection of the Emotional Mind, Body & Lifestyle Choices into the therapeutic process. I believe that all are interconnected and interdependent and thus deserving of attention.
